Do bags fear needles?2.23.2008
We've had celebrity haircuts (liking Katie Holmes' new do), celebrity chefs, and celebrity housemates, now it's the time of the celebrity bags.....and I don't mean the C-list female stars, a little past their prime, desperately posing on the red carpets of television awards shows.
No, I mean the bags that all the celebrities want. And it appears if we see the new "it" bag on the arm of the star, we'll all covet one of our own.
However, the new celebrity bag of choice might not be to everyone's taste. Jennifer Lopez, Kylie and Madonna have all been "papped" with the £1,500 handbag and now WAGs are getting in on the act.
The bag in question? A Zagliani tote made of alligator or python skin injected with Botox. Yes, instead of filling the advancing crow's feet, the wrinkle-busting toxin is being used to give dermatologist turned designer Mauro Orietti-Carella's bags a cashmere-like smooth softness.
One of the latest designs was picked up by England footballer Steven Gerrard's wife, Alex Curren, who added a black version to the gold one already in the wardrobe.
Latest reports say New York has sold out and the Italian designer could be struggling to keep up demand for this gem.
But if the idea of stuffing your keys into something already stuffed with Botox isn't entirely your bag, see our range of lovely soft leather totes and clutches - no Botox required!
